I bought this almost a year ago and am just now reviewing it. Holy shit, this cd kicks ass. These crackers got mad skillz, yo. The songs have bitching structure and kick ass. The lyrics aren't none of this get up kids emo stuff, but other shit. Some of these dudes songs are about fucking. Up in them guts kicks ass too. If you like this cd, buy that one too. If you don't like this cd, buy it anyway

Fuckin great CD I saw these guys when they supported teh ataris and this CD puts their live show on disc perfectly, the energy and raw guitars and vocals r all there only thing missin is the crowd, great band with cool riffs and some dark and heavy breakdowns, however I found that this cd is very different from their old stuff which is also very gd but there is alot more hardcore found on their newer material.

I wanted to like this I really did. After hearing nothing but praise for this band I was eager to listen to them. Don't get me wrong the music rocks, good interesting sounding rock songs( i've heard them called "screamo" but I don't see it), but my main complaint is that everything is just one muddled mess. The vocals are unintelligable and buried in the mix, which is something that annoys me when listing to music. That is my main complaint, I realize the goal was to make it "dirty sounding" but I would still like to hear what is being screamed. Still not too shabby.

I bought this album a long time ago, and I'm just getting around to reviewing it. What can I say about ths band? I personally find PMFS amazing in what they do. It's not really screamo, and it's not really hardcore, but whatever it is, it fucking rocks. Personal highlights are 'End Me in Richmond', 'Rhythm Dies', and 'Sicillian Smile'. If you like the whole screamo/post-hardcore thing, you'll probably like this. The recording quality isn't all that bad as people say. Hey, I can understand the lyrics. If you are used to scruffy voices/screaming, you'll have no problem.

THIS CD IS FUCKING AMAZING. a lot of people complain about the recording quality, but it doesn't really matter and isn't even that noticeable. planes is an incredible band and i strongly suggest that you pick up a copy of this cd as well as their ep's, bitch.

Such a bad recording. So hard to hear. It makes it hard to listen to. I bet if the recording was better it would be such a good cd.

"Fuck with Fire," is a hugh step away from Planes Misaken For Stars' work on Deep Elm Records. This is more like punk rock than emo. It's aggressive and tight; but not too tight, it has an extreme rawness to it. The recording gives it that raw sound, and the vocals were recorded low (a lot like early Hum) which gives more emotion to the songs. PMFS new No Idea material reminds me of Hot Water Music combined with Hum. Very good.
