8/8/2012 by Grant from Lincoln, NB Canada Rating:
A lotta great bands from back in the day slipped through the cracks. Pure Hell is definitely one of those bands. The bulk of the tracks come off like a faster, harder New York Dolls(though the solos sometimes tend to run a little long). About a third of this album is killer material, there's a couple stinkers, and the rest fall in the "pretty good" category. Still, at a time when punk didn't have many rules, Pure Hell must've been one helluva band to see live.
