The moment the album begins, you know it is something different. Riverside's "Goodbye Broadway, Hello Hollywood" is something new and fresh in the London, Ontario "scene" and is anything but the norm. This 12-track full length recorded by legendary Siegfried Meier is a breath of crisp air for those of you who are sick of the fashion core scenster emo/screamo crap. This band wants to move the music of today from sad to happy, power rock with an upbeat tempo and they succeed with this record. The lyrics on this album are not the cliche "boy loves girl, loses girl", they more so tell a "coming of age" story for twenty-somethings all over. Songs about, college, friends, girls, leaving home...something we can all relate to. To sum it up, this album has everything someone wants when they turn on their ipods, something catchy and new!
