| Fun 100/Paper Lanterns - Split |
Fun 100 are five dudes who have been the pulse of the teenage heartbeat for the past five years. Obsessed with 90s pop-culture and the ’94 Vancouver Canucks, the boys offer two synth-heavy jock jams: “Pull The Goalie” and “Gimme the Chiefs.” Perfectly captured, the songs capture the zany intensity of Fun 100’s live show.
Though they broke up soon after recording these songs, Paper Lanterns deserve major props for the fun they injected into Vancouver’s stagnant punk scene. Aided by the sonic wizardry of Jesse Gander, both “B Line” and “I Wanna Die” say farewell to these beloved East Van legends and the era they represented in style.
