Bomb The Music Industry!/Rick Johnson Rock

Presidents Day - Split

(Rick Johnson Rock And Roll Machine (members of Arrogant Sons of Bitches and Mustard Plug))

Asbestos 28

Released on February 20, 2006

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

6 songs of wonderful synth punk tunes from 2 one man bands featuring dudes from ska punk bands (Jeff of The Arrogant Sons of Bitches, and Rick Johnson of Mustard Plug). For you collector types its on grey marbled vinyl, and is a limited run of 600 and numbered out of 400...We havent quite figured that part out yet but apparently knowing how to do math correctly isnt very punk rock. All profits from this record are going to help cover the medical expenses of our good friend Dan Lang Gunn of the Modern Day Saint.

The Bomb The Music Industry! side of this album is great, tons of fun and up to par with every other btmi! album. Rick Johnson on the other hand is nothing really more than alright... Devo-like nothing really special.

BTMI side is great; a bunch of songs I've never heard them play before, which was a treat. The Rick Johnson side was also pretty good, though I would say not as memorable.

We'll I heard of Bomb The Music Industry! thru a friend and was down right amazed and figured if they ever put anything out I'll get it, and then looking thru the notes I found out it was put thru to a good charity so I think everyone should buy a copy of this until there gone, the Rick Johnson Rock And Roll Machine are pretty good too. Its Rock Ska Punk Synth & Roll experience .... just buy it its for a good cause.

It's dirty, its quick, its fun. Both the "bands" are awesome, and its just fun to have and look at. It's cheap, so buy it!

If you don't have a record player already you should buy one just to play this 7". I love it and I think you should too. If the hip new hapenin' ska-ish synth-y thrash-esque Bomb the Music Industry! and a machine that made Devo inspired rock n' roll with the human Rick Johnson from the legendary Musatrd Plug made a sexy album wouldn't you wanna tap dat shit too? You would have to like Hawthorne Heights to not like this album which is impossible because no one truly likes Hawthorne Heights, they just say they do to get chicks. Btw the cover songs were done deliciously. Supposidly only 600 are being made, i got mine right before they ran out of stock the second time.

I LOVE RICK JOHNSON ROCK N ROLL MACHINE!!!!! i didnt hear any of his music until i bought this. its really original and something fresh to hear. ive liked bomb the music industry for quite some time now. i really liked there ska stuff. this was just jeff by himself so one song was a thrashy punk song, a thrashy version of a rick johnson song and a really good acoustic song.

This si pretty much up front. If you Like ASOB, you'll like this. If you like BTMI, you'll like this. All three BTMI songs are great. Short, but great. I'm giving up on Rock and rool is one of the catchyest songs ever, and the 4 inches cover is soooooooo much better than Rick Jhonson's version. Which brings me to why it got only 4 stars, RICK'S SIDE IS A PIECE OF SHIT. Even for those of you who like Mustard plug, trust me. It's just a 30-year-old white guy raping to beats that sound like they're backround music to old atari games. He completly murders Funcoland vs. the southern electrate.

Overall: buy it, enjoy side B (BTMI), use side A to practice scratching skills, It's for a good cause, also it's Bomb The Music Industry! on vinal! Worth every penny.
