Post Office Gals - Esbeohdes
Post Office Gals

Esbeohdes

On The Rise 17

Released on February 21, 2006

$9.25

This is what happens when you throw 70’s prog-rock and grindcore in a blender and smash puree.

The Post Office Gals from New Jersey play a style of psychedelic-thrash not unlike what would happen if you combined Yes with Napalm Death, or Pink Floyd with Cannibal Corpse.

This CD is awesome. I knew Roman a while back in some other local bands and got into this band not knowing he was the singer. They are really fucking good. Definitly for fans of Canon Law (electro grind-ska), The Locust and An Albatross.

2/24/2008 by Carter from Wilmette, IL Rating:
70's prog rock, think Emerson Lake and Palmer (hodown) with a little grindcore thrown in there, for fans of Great Redneck Hope, Robinson, Vessels Cast From Cripped Hands, 25 Dollar Massacre, 2 0' Clock Girlfriend, Me and Him Call It Us

12/6/2007 by Sonic from Fairfield, CT Rating:
Heavily synth-based Great Redneck Hope/An Albatross-style tech-grind whatever. For about 13 minutes. I can't make out a single word being said. I'd recommend it!

2/23/2007 by Chris from Waterloo, IL Rating:
absolutely amazing...a real shame they broke up. I would of really liked to see the band perform live.

the album is very interesting and breathes a lot of life into a very "by-the-book" genre. You can tell its the Post Office Gals right away....and it keeps your attention the whole way through (running time: approx 12 minutes)

Nonetheless, amazing.

This cd blows my mind, its got the sweetness of An Albatross and ferociousness of a live bear. It will eat the flesh off your bones if you let it. This cd is brutal and keyboard is fantastic, seriously, if you like An Albatross this is a must. thats no lie.
