Most think that all young punkers turned pop-punk stars were influenced by just the Ramones and the Misfits. Well, Kepi, who has toured the planet as frontman for THE GROOVIE GHOULIES, is a little different. He was also influenced by the country of Johnny Cash & Hank Williams, the blues of Muddy Waters & Chuck Berry, as well as music legends like The Stones, Johnny Thunders, and Jonathan Richman. Take these influences, mix them with a pop-punk pedigree second to none, and you have the next generation of American roots/pop in THE HAINTS! "Haint" is a slang term for "Hillbilly Ghost", and what better title for this new roots flavored project featuring all of the members of legendary pop-punk trio THE GROOVIE GHOULIES? Don't be fooled, this is not your ordinary alt-country sound. Kepi's unique style and quirky tunes are all here along with outstanding acoustic versions of Ghoulie classics.
