Flash Grenade's debut full-length album "15 Stories" is the band's crowning achievement. Recorded at Target Studios in Elkton, Marlyand with Producer Marc Moss, the album is nearly an hour long. | Alright it was one of those nights where I was just bumming soo I'm trolling purevolume for some local/indie bands that'll catch my ear and well this band did. I wasn't blown away by the tracks I heard on the website, but I liked them enough so I figured I would take a shot on this cd and it is definitely the best cd I ever got off this website. Granted I haven't gotten a ton of them here, but that doesn't matter because it is still one of the best cds in my cd collection of 240 some cds. It has a Green Day's Nimrod-ish era vibe to it, but it is really fresh and has a bit of classic rock feel too at times, but it's completly modern.
Anyhow The songs on there are a good selection of what they sound like, but there are better songs on the actual album. My favorites of the ones on the site are Yours Truly and the Coward, but this song on the album called Song 56(Cast Down). Is amazing! It is one of the best songs I ever heard! It is about eight minutes long, It has a great melody, good punk rock sound and then at about 3 minutes or so the horn section kicks in and then at the end there is a piano, that song is freaking epic!
I think I ranted enough about this album usually I just agree with what people had written already or don't have much to say other than this album is great and was worth my money, but I had to write something more especially being the first person to review it. If you are on this website, you'll like this cd. I'd get it again, I wouldn't think you'd be let down by it. |
