The Viceroy and the Monarch is our debut album. The Viceroy is a butterfly and it kept getting attacked by predators almost to the point of extinction, but it had to evolve. So it changed its appearance to become the Monarch which is a poisonous butterfly. There for the Viceroy survived because it mimicked the Monarch. We thought the album title mirrored our lifes. This album has to do with change whether its changing yourself for someone or being changed by someone. There's many different ways and aspects that you can interpret with this album. Were not a band that you can only hear one song and judge us,this cd has something to offer for everyone,Enormity and Beauty mixed with melodic chaos. Enjoy and spread the love.

| With the intensity of GLASSJAW or HASTE THE DAY, the vocals of ANATOMY OF A GHOST and the spacyness of CIRCA CIRVIVE, AHIMSA SUNRISE is born. It is as heavy as it is delicate. I own a lot of CD's and I must say "Viceroy And The Monarch" has quickly become a favorite. Without a doubt they are one of the better underground bands I have heard, and they are unsigned! I KNOW I WAS SHOCKED TO HEAR THIS. I suggest you go take a gander at AHIMSA SUNRISE and see for yourself. Let their music talk the talk and walk the walk. |
