Felix Culpa - Commitment
This long-awaited (and long in general)full length from WI/IL border band, The Felix Culpa, clocks in about a minute shy of an hour and captures the sense of urgency and energy that this band has become known for. Recorded casually throughout the last year, all eleven tracks are unique and deliberate, emphasized by the production skills of Jeffro Lacksheide at Magic Funhouse and mastered at Mastermind Studios by Trevor Sadler (Madonna, NIN, Over the Rhine).

amazing! I cannot say enough good things about this release. easily one of my favorite CDs. i highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys more than simple chord progressions and basic rock songs. The Felix Culpa are anything but basic and "Commitment" is a fine example of how talented they are at crafting passionate, meaningful music. A+

Overall, this is a very good CD and well worth the money. The songs are kinda punkish but have a little more jam rock twist to them. The vocals are rather unique in that he doesnt have the high emo voice that alot of singers have, he just kinda sings like himself, they're is also an occasional scream for backing vocals. The writing is very good and this CD is definetly worth your money. It's really weird in that in the side of the case they give you a pencil and you can draw whatever you want as the front cover for the CD. I have never seen a CD like that before.

Initially, I was skeptical about a CD that was recommended to me by AP magazine. Little did I know that I was about to be blown away by one of my now top CDs of all time. Felix Culpas' sound can be described simply as something you've never heard before and something very familiar at the same time. Deep, intense lyrics accompanied by a soundscape that goes above and beyond to impress the listener, I give this album a 5 out of 5! I couldn't recommend it any more!
