I saw Marathon at their last NYC show and they were amazing. I picked up the full length and it had to grow on me but I love it.

I ordered this CD and well...it's different. I have to agree with the first review, it's just where they started from. It's a faster CD, but the songs head in weird directions. It's not bad, but if I had bought this first, I probably would not be as big of a fan. Buy the full length first...then if you need more, get this.

Marathon R.I.P

Man I love this band. If you own their full lenght you will not be disappointed. Melodic and catchy. Vocals are some of the best I've ever heard, they just stand out soooooo much. I compare them to Much the Same, some other Nitro Bands.

I love this band, plus there a good new york band. This cd is pretty much beauty. If you like these guys check out Crimes Of Passion on myspace. This a band thats going somewhere. Both are.

Man I really dig this band. They are catchy, melodic, and socially conscience. If you are unfamiliar with this band get thier full lentgth s/t realese first.

10/31/2005 by Ken from Colden, NY Rating:
Marathon are possibly the best punk band around these days. Their full length is amazing, and this debut EP is quite excellent as well. Think Bad Religion meets Green Day meets Trial By Fire. "Langston's Motto" is probably the best song they've ever written and "Our Dictator Can Beat Up Your Dictator" is arguably the wittiest and most intelligent anti-Bush song I've heard yet. This EP, and this band, are highly recommended.

8/11/2005 by Aaron from Mesa, AZ Rating:
Eh....it's always great to hear a punk rock record with heart and a social conscience and man do these guys have it. The lyrics are great, but the music is so-so. This EP sounds like the kind of EP that gets released by a well known local act that you know will get signed someday. That someday came for these guys on their self titled full length. Pick that one up first (it's worthy of a 5 star rating), then if you're into it get this one to see where they came from.
