A damn good sampler. A good blend of punk, pop-punk, emo-punk, with a couple attempts at screamo-core whatever you want to call it. This comp has a similar feel to the Lookout! and Fat Music comps. There's really only a couple songs on here not worth listening to (In Reverent Fear's Santa Ana sounds like a crappy junior high "hardcore" band, maybe they are), so for under five bucks, it's probably the best value you'll ever receive. The sample clip of Last Year's Hero is much more poppy and cheesy than the rest of this stuff. IMO, the Rise Against song dominates the cd, and is almost out of place, because most of the other tracks have a more indie/local band feel. I can't think of a better way to spend that five bucks you stole from your dad's wallet.

There is good variety on this CD. A lot of good bands with different, yet still awesome, sounds. Even the bands on here that I hadn't ever heard of surprisingly didn't suck. :) Can't beat the price either.
