Reissued for the 1st time on CD. This is Soul Side’s first full-length originally released in 1986 on LP as a split between Sammich and Dischord Records. Soul Side went on to Dischord for two
more full lengths and the core of the band later moved to NYC and formed Girls Against Boys. Sammich was a label founded by Amanda MacKaye and Eli Janney and was most active from 1986-1990 with releases from bands like Soul Side, Shudder To Think and Swiz.

| Great early emo-core from Washington DC. Not as good as their following "Trigger" 12" on Dischord, but an excellent debut nonetheless. For all the fans of mid-to-late-80s DC sound (Gray Matter, Shudder To Think, King Face, Marginal Man, etc.). Thanks to Dischord for finally releasing (in partnership with classic 80s DC label, Sammich records) this rare gem on CD. |
