Cut The Shit

Harmed And Dangerous

Gloom 26

Released on October 7, 2003

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

After these Bostonians dropped their debut Bored To Death 7" on the world... They've out done themselves by now writing a completely raging, classic punk album for the hardcore in us all. Fast hardcore, played with tightness, attitude, and aggression. The cover art, and insert of this record make it as visually appealing as it is a listening orgasm from start to finish.

super short cd. every song is about 1 minute or less long. i dont really like short songs but i do like the rites and these guys sound like em so its worth the $2.

this album has a great old school feel to it. i was expecting a little something like bones brigade when i bought this. it wasn't but, i wasnt disappointed either. reminds me of minor threat and ssd. definitely worth picking up.

Hard, fast, tight, pissed off and straight to the point. Cut the Shit absolutely smokes. Old style Boston hardcore played fast and hard with no frills. No metal, no emo and no bullshit. Hense the name Cut the Shit. Definitely for fans of "punk rock infused" hardcore. Similar to Out Cold, Jerrys Kids and Negative Approach. I can't help but repeating myself. Tight, fast and pissed off hardcore punk. And I mean PUNK. Check out the RITES as well, as both Cut the Shit and the Rites came from the ashes of Tear it Up. For fans of early '80s american hardcore and fans of angry fast punk rock. A great CD, and be on the look out for a new CD collecting the out of print 7" and newly recorded 10" tracks. Very strong debut album.

Excellent fast and thrashy hardcore in the vein of Holier Than Thou? and Tear It Up, featuring the former singer of Bones Brigade. Not as good as the Brigade, but still a great release. Go!

Have you ever wondered what it makes to get a slap in the ear? I did, I bought this CD and God, it's not that hurting. 18 songs, 18 minutes, only one hardcore : fast as hell (though not falling under the "Trashcore" category), zero seconds to waste.

Just listen to "Harmed and Dangerous" whenever Valium does not suffice or if your day went all wrong or if you'd like to get like an electrical shock. I cannot put 5 stars to this, because first no album of that kind could get that many and second because no song stands out. Just listen to it fully or forget about it.

And buy this instead of the demo. For fans of Panic, Internal Affairs, Knockdown.

this cd is pretty good. i liked the 7" ALOT better. I would pick the 7" over this any day. this lp brought the band comparisons to tear it up, and there is definitely a resemblence. I'm giving it a 3 because this is nowhere near as sweet as the 7".
