i have their self titled album and sex love and rock n roll. this is supposed to be their signature album, and it's really awesome. i like this more than sex love and rock n roll, but i like their self titled better. I think the songs on here are all really good, but the self titled album has more songs that really stick out.

Very good punk CD though I personally prefer the fast 1-2-1-2 beat of hardcore to this sound. As previous reviewers have already stated, this CD is mandatory for anyone wanting to hear one the best bands early Californian punk had to offer.

This is more or less Social D's signature CD, at least of their older stuff. As one of punk's finest albums it's pretty much a “must have” for anyone interested in punk rock from any era. I can't really say anything that hasn't already been said, so buy the album and judge for yourself.

Key Tracks: “The Creeps,” “Another State of Mind,” “Mommy's Little Monster,” “Anti-Fashion”

I'm going to go ahead and coin this album the best Social D album. Every song is a classic, there really are no filler tracks. Don't get me wrong, there is not a bad Social D album and you're safe no matter where you go (dont get sex, love and rock and roll first though) This is a punk rock classic and a rock n' roll classic. buy this if you do not already have it.

This CD embodies all that is punk rock: loud, harsh, fast, and an in-your-face attitude with charged lyrics thrown into the mix. These guys were some of the first to emerge from the scene that is South California. Mike Ness is a lyrical mastermind with a "fuck you" ethic. He also rips on the guitar. He is one of the few punk guitarists i've ever heard that plays hell-good solo. Their songs range from hell on earth (it wasnt a pretty picture) to taking shit for their lifestyles (moral threat) to down-right fun songs (mommys little monster). This is a landmark CD that deserves more than it got. Its still in constant rotation in my CD player even tho i got it a while ago. Get this, you wont be disappointed.

This CD is really self-explanatory. It's a Social Distortion CD, with "Mommy's Little Monster" on it... and probably one of their best releases ever. How could you go wrong? I bought it as a gift for a friend and he is in love with this CD. Go see Social D live. Awesome show.

Out of all the Social Distortion albums you can buy on here, this is the only one no one has reviewed?! Anyways, this is Social D's debut album and a damn wicked one! Probably one of their greatest releases ever. This is also my first Social D album. I absolutely love it, every single song is rad. The music, lyrics, guitar solos everything! Just great! Mike Ness can write damn good lyrics relating mostly to life. I saw a video of them playing "Mommy's Little Monster" live in my city in 1982 or 83. If you are new to Social Distortion I would recommend this as your first album.
