Four Year Strong have returned to their youth and are proud to present their new album, "Explains It All". This collection of 1990s cover songs provided the band an opportunity to shine some insight on the songs that shaped their childhoods and inspired their career: "We've always loved the 90s. Pogs, blow cuts, JNCO jeans, Goosebump books, Airwalks the movies, I could go on forever. But most importantly, there was the music. Whether we were in our bedrooms playing air guitar, or riding in the car to little league practice, or it was just that song that was all over the radio during that awesome summer at the Cape: these songs instantly transport us to our youth."

growing up in the 90s and hearing the original songs that Four Year Strong cover on this album was an amazing time in my life. The 90s owned! even though the original songs may have sucked or been stuck in your head for weeks at a time. Four Year Strong does a good job taking these songs and putting their touch in them. only thing i dislike about this record is that when i first heard Four Year Strong, a lot of their songs had parts with breakdowns in them. on this cover album.. breakdowns are rare. but the fact that Keith Buckley from Every Time I Die does vocals on Bullet With Butterfly Wings makes up for the lack of breakdowns.

Great CD. Part of it is the memories each song brings with it. I also like how Four Year Strong covers songs. You don't just feel like you are hearing the original again, they throw in their own style to the song. For example on Spiderwebs by No Doubt instead at the part where it gets more reggae-ish at the end it is hardcore. I really enjoy this CD and reccommend it.

I don't think it's possible to not like this album. It's all covers of 90's songs but they've been pumped up FYS style. I promise you if you get this album you will love it and you will never stop listening to it.
