| This is Amanda not Donna. This is good, not great. Dischord 1981 is better. So you should get that instead/first. Or this....do what you want. Straight edge or not all the DC bands are good - well for the most part - ya know. This is cheap comp. and most the bands are good, so it won't be a complete waste... |

| What can I say about some of the earliest recordings of the HarD.C.ore scene? Absolutely fantastic. People praise the first half of this compilation(untouchables,SOA...) but the true gems of this cd are the last half. I heard most of these songs in other Cd's (iron cross, minor threat, Void) so Artificial Pease was quite a pleasent surprise. Artificial Peace has undoubtly the best tracks on this CD.
Five stars all the way because.....Dischord Records Baby. |

| Good 80s Hardcore mix. Brought this after reading a book about Dischord and the DC scene. Recording isn't very good (as you would expect from the 80s)but overall this Cd's pretty cool, just not excellent. |

| This is a nice comp. The first half is a lot better than the rest. im not too big on the red-c or the deadline stuff. SOA and the untouchables takes the cake. i also have the original LP (vinyl). pick this little number up, and on vinyl if you can. |

| This is one of the MUST OWN compilations outthere if your into the 80's DC hardcore, this cd is just awesome with bands like Minor Threat and the very underrated Red C. There are many other great bands in there too, like GI or even Henry Rollin's first band S.O.A. |

| Fuck your Casualties bull shit pop punk. Pick this fucker up and learn about your roots you punk rock fuckhead. This is the best review. On a serious note, one of the most important albums in U.S. Hardcore. Some amazing bands where we are lucky we have the recordings that we have. You have your basic hardcore godfathers like Minor Threat and GI, but you have shit on here that you should consider yourself blessed to listen to. We're talking about the voices and music of Gods. Teen Idles, Untouchables, Iron Cross, you get the picture. You want to flip your trucker hat up and skate like a 80's straight edger, you better have this fucking thing in your collection. Otherwise I'll personally come over and eat your food and sleep on your floor until your mom gets mad and asks me to leave and I tell her not until you get Flex Your Head. |
