| Slackers - Close My Eyes |
The Slackers are true modern day masters who produce moments on stage that are amazing. The band is a lightning rod for talent fronted by the outstanding vocals, songwriting and keyboard playing of Vic Ruggiero, who happens to be supported by one of the hottest and most entertaining live bands today. Check out the song “Mommy” for the ultimate blend of Vic’s heart wrenching soulful vocal style, percolating keyboard work tossed with Reggae-fied, Afro-Carribean flavor. It’s the epitome of what the Slackers do as a band.

| in all honesty this is pretty much ..well, this album, and the "wasted days" album both squeeze in as my most played, favorite albums.
i love all of their stuff and anything that vic ruggiero adds to, usually gets me hooked.
i have this on cd but was stoked to get the vinyl version to spin especially on those mellow days
old dog is a great song, i like the story to it. kinda sad but the song itself has a uplifting feeling.
i dont skip any track on this album and every song on here is worth listning to.
i've read some reviews that this album was a miss, but its def not. has just as many stand out tracks as wasted days, and will get stuck in your head for sure. |

| The Slackers can do no wrong and have yet to put out a bad album. This record has more of a rocksteady style than any other. Not to mention Ruggiero's lyrics became better than ever, more of a beatnik appeal. I really dig it and would recommend it. Probably one of a few albums that is in constant rotation. best songs: "Bin Waitin", "Old Dog" and "I'll Stay Away" |

| This album is incredible! I've owned it on CD for a while, but nothing compares to a Slackers album on vinyl! If you have the chance to pick up any of their vinyl records, do it!
The songs are definitely classics! Lyrically, it's a slightly darker album than any of their other material, but musically it is as danceable as any of their previous records. If you've never bought a Slackers album (CD or vinyl), this is definitely a great place to start. This is my 4th Slackers vinyl record and the only one that compares to this in sound is Better Late than Never.
Enjoy! |

| Wow, this is the greatest reggae LP I've purchased in a long time. The Slackers always put out great music, but this one takes the cake. Though it's more reggae/dub influenced than earlier albums like "Redlight" or "The Question", it still packs a powerful punch with choice tracks, "Old Dog," "Axes," "Bin Waiting," "Mommy," "Who Knows," and "I'll Stay Away." It's an all around amazing album that I HIGHLY recommend any and all ska and reggae lovers to pick up. Now. |
