| Great CD. Old Black Metal at its finest. I recomend this VEnom cd, and anyother, to any die hard (no pun inteneded, ha) metal fan. |

| It amazes me that for an album that is considered so quintessential, "Black Metal" has not been treated better in the past, at least when it comes to being released on CD. Sanctuary does a good job on this, adding a bunch of bonus tracks and cleaning up the sound fairly well (although, you can only do so much as Venom weren't very good musicians) and gives this thing nice packaging. Fans of "Show No Mercy" -era Slayer will notice the similarities (early on, many people wrote Slayer off as Venom clones). Very few musical acts can claim to have an entire genre of music named after one of its albums, so that's cool (although, admittedly, Black Metal doesn't sound much like "Black Metal", at least, not anymore). A good CD to add to a well-rounded music collection. |

| Venom started the black metal scene..... I'm pretty sure no one will read this.... Venom f-in rocks, if you like black metal then you should get the albumn that started it all. Lay down you soul to the gods rock n' roll!!!! |
