A Silver Mt. Zion

This Is Our Punk-Rock/Thee Rusted Satellites Gather And Sing

(Features Efrim From Godspeed You Black Emperor)

Constellation 27

Released on September 2, 2003

$13.00

$27.25

The third full-length recording from GODSPEED YOU BLACK EMPEROR members EFRIM, THIERRY and SOPHIE, along with friends BECKIE, IAN, and JESSICA. Four long pieces-each divided into two or more sections-of the most deliberate, complex, and precise compositions the group has recorded so far. Dense layers of strings collide, blend and differentiate against a backdrop of ragged repeating guitar figures and noise treatments, and are complimented by Efrim's vocals and sociopolitical lyrics. On double LP!

It's like a little less dense godspeed with a greater emphasis on vocals. A truely wonderful album. Light strings and chior vocals are the focus on this work and come together to make a beautiful sounding CD.
