Lower Class Brats

Class Of Our Own

Punk Core 31

Released on September 16, 2003

Sorry, but this item is no longer available

Bringing forth one of the most anticipated street punk albums of 2003, the mighty LOWER CLASS BRATS return with their first new album in over three years. Since picking up the "clockwork" punk torch in 1995 in the tradition of MAJOR ACCIDENT, COCK SPARRER and THE ADICTS, THE LOWER CLASS BRATS have released two classic full-length albums as well as many EPs (made available again on the Real Punk is an Endangered Species collection on Punk Core in August). This twelve-song powerhouse also features a cover of THE DEFECTS pogo punk classic "Dance".

Not my favorite Brats CD, although it is still good. My favorite songs are Loser's Club and Just Like Clockwork. But if you're looking for your first Brats CD, I'd go for Plot Sickens

3/20/2006 by Drew from Okc, OK Rating:
This one's okay, I like the plot sickens a lot more so get that one first. Most of the songs seem to blend together but a few (golden boy, just like clockwork, and loser's club) stand out as really good ones and that dancing song cover of whoever is pretty good.

6/5/2005 by Sean from Medford, OR Rating:
its alright, I was somewhat dissapointed considering every song was really really repetitive. Its like an ACDC album, if you have heard their other stuff then you know exactly what this album is going to sound like.

4/28/2005 by Jack from Mt. Top, PA Rating:
This cd dissapointed me just a little bit. Their singles and blah balh blag collection was much better. dont get me wrong, it's a great cd, but "true punk rock is a dying art.." was much better. this cd has alot of ass kickin' songs on it. the version of "just like clockwork" is bithchin' and the Defects cover is pretty damn sweet. If you have the "true punk rock.." cd i still say buy this if you liked the other one, b/c it's just different, not really worse. the only reason I gave it 4 stars was b'c it's less of my taste

12/14/2004 by David from Bell Gardens, CA Rating:
good stuff.if you liked rather be hated than ignored you'll love this.every song is good except for go all the way besides that every song kicks ass

10/15/2004 by Sean from Saskatoon, SK Canada Rating:
This is a very good cd..not great but all in all a good buy for your money. I love the guitar in this album along with the bass its unique. The Brats are definately slower paced and poppier than most bands on its record label but still are punk as hell. All in all I suggest if you like street punk you should buy this, you'll like it.

7/22/2004 by Issy from Huntley, IL Rating:
oh wow i cant wait to see these guys when they come rolling into chicago...it will be the most awesome show ever, i cant wait...the cd is just asgood as the other two and still hard hitting clockwork oi...EVERYTHING I DO IS JUST LIKE CLOCKWORK society tells me that im wrong EVRYTHING I DO IS JUST LIKE CLOCKWORK youll remmeber me when im gone

4/1/2004 by Roger from Charlotte Hall, MD Rating:
this was pretty damn good. took some listens to get into it. sounds diferent from "Rather Be Hated Than Ignored" with more aggressive sound to it. favorite songs: "Golden Boy" "Losers Club" and "Standard Issue". Get if you're into Oi or streetpunk.

11/23/2003 by Brian from Roslindale, MA Rating:
this is a great cd! it sounds kind of different from their older stuff but this is still a great cd! it's nice to see a street punk band without all the political lyrics. i mean I love political street punk, but brats kick ass. well the stand out songs are just like clockwork, our dignity standard issue, losers club, dance till you drop(defects cover), and shotup, shot down. shot up shot down sounds like a funeral dress song, so pick this up if like funeral dress, blanks 77, the unseen, casualties, virus, total chaos, exploited, cock sparrer, gbh, or any other of that stuff.

10/26/2003 by Jeff from Montgomery, IL Rating:
Ok, this is my first review. I own all of the LCBs albums, and I'd have to say this isn't my favorite. Its a great album but I think their best is "The Plot Sickens."

My Favorite songs are Golden Boy, Just Like Clockwork, Standard Issue, and Loser's Club.

They sound similar to The Adicts, Major Accident, and Slaughter and the Dogs, only modern. A good choice if you like those bands. All their songs are catchy and kind of pop-ish compared to other bands on their label, but not in a bad way. I think they're the best punkcore band.

Overall its an excellent album. Its very good, but get their other albums first if you haven't already.
