Within the first three months of the bands conception they had played their first show and recorded a three song demo. Southern Ontario and up state New York quickly picked up on their infectious sound as well as their live performances which were rumored to be as intense as two catholic school girls in mid knife fight. Guitars fly violently through the air, disco balls shatter, a sea of kids raising their fists and crowd surfing to get a hold of the mic.

Alexisonfire have combined ear stabbing screams, intricate guitar melodies and beautiful singing to create a very exciting musical juxtaposition. Their sound is a direct collaboration of personal influences based on the love of music and the desire to play.

Great album from a great band! Alexis kicks so much ass! fast, crazy riffs and screaming, interesting build-ups and a great mix of hard parts and softer parts. This album is one of those few that has made me think: "damn, this shit is awesome," when I first listened to it, and many of the tracks send chills through me! Alexisonfire is an amazing and unique band, and I look forward to see them in Oslo november the 27th, even though they probably will play songs mostly from Crisis, which was a bit disappointing compared to their first two albums. This is their best album and I recommend everyone who likes alternative post-hardcore to buy this!

Key tracks: 44' caliber love letter, A dagger through the heart of L.A. and Polaroids of polarbears.

good ol Alexisonfire. First cd, it is a good cd, especially if you are a big hardcore fan. This cd has some very good songs on. I still recomend you get Watch Out, though the two cd's are a good amount different. The guitarist doesn't sing much on this cd like he does on the new one, good for some fans and bad for some others. It pumps you up, crazy guitars and drums of course. can't beat Alexis baby.

9/3/2005 by Cedric from Coaticook, PQ Canada Rating:
Whoa!!! This shit is good. More than the average melodic screamo band, these guys know how to create great guitar leads. Very intense with some cool screams from the lead singer. A lot better than their follow-up (Watch Out). For fans of Funeral For A Friend, Nor Am I, Thrice...

5/22/2005 by Bjorn Gunnar from Trondheim, Norway Rating:
Amazing album. It's melodic, but yet with an raw edge to it. It's emotional hardcore with a punk attitude. It sounds like.... Alexisonfire! The mix between clean vocals and screamo are brilliant in this album. I give it 4 stars.

10/19/2004 by Carlos from Los Angeles, CA Rating:
Well i had bought watch out! and iloved it it was awesome people had given it bad reviews but i thought it was great and i had heard there first cd was bit harder and it is its more of early demoish sound to it more screaming lesssinging and its good but i still like watch out abit more just cuz it diverges from your normal scream sing thing and the guitars and drums are way beter in watch out but get this cd and man they are awesome live catch them live with hot water music when they come to your town!

9/27/2004 by Alex from Colorado Springs, CO Rating:
good lord this cd kicks all kinds of ass. they have 2 awesome guitarists and all their vocalists all have a unique sound to their voices. if your lookin at buyin their stuff, start with this. its all the screaming and good stuff, and its infinity better than their second cd. so get it, its worth the money plus a lot more.

8/6/2004 by Rob from Nashville, TN Rating:
dude alexisonfire is VERY good.If you like Thrice and From Autumn to Ashes and stuff like that its worth all the cash. They have some of the strangest lyrics which are also some of the best. They also have some very creative guitar parts and great screaming/singing.This one is better than Watch Out!!!! but that ones pretty good to.

Later.

7/27/2004 by Dusty from Dansville, NY Rating:
A pretty good album from these guys. Love how they mix the raw screaming with a bit of the slower side of the band. Alexisonfire also knows how to play gutiar and drums , they have very unique sound. Thou at times i wish it was a little bit faster as the lead vocalists will scream only two words at a time then pause. (But just a thought others might really like it) Overall a good buy suggested for fans of Poison The Well. Plus u get a bonus video

7/9/2004 by Charlie from New Port Richey, FL Rating:
yep. this album fucking rules and alexisonfire cranks out some pretty hot shit on this release. i'd have to say that considering it's their first record, these guys know what the fuck is going on and aren't afraid to show it. there is such an incredible vibe about this album that i ended up burning a copy so i could listen to it in my car too. such talent and more great things to come from this band. and though i've only had it for a few days, the new album is even better.
