Soviettes - LP
Adeline is pleased to announce the debut full-length by Minneapolis' THE SOVIETTES! In just over a year, THE SOVIETTES have turned the Twin Cities music scene upside down with their fun-loving, female-fronted punk rock hullabaloo. Since the band's conception in 2001, THE SOVIETTES have released a 7" and a split EP with THE VALENTINES on Pop Riot Records. They've also scored shows with the likes of DILLINGER 4, SELBY TIGERS, HAR MAR SUPERSTAR, THE PATTERN and more. With a sound like THE FASTBACKS meet THE BUZZCOCKS, the album ought to earn the band fans outside Minnesota's thriving scene.

The Soviettes are an excellent band and I love this CD. It's great that all of the band members do vocals because it helps contribute originality to the songs on the CD.

This Album was pretty good. Its a bit to short, and some of the songs are just repetitive, but its good power music, and you cant argue with a good female punk band. I really like the song 9th St. and Clueless. The band has a few songs where the music reminds me of Alkaline Trio, so if you like female vocalists and Alkaline Trio id buy this. Some of there stuff is a bit to pop-ish for me though, but its still good. and deserves a 4, even tho its to short.

WOW! I wish I would of known about this band a long time ago. They are truly amazing and this is such a colossal album! They have some great influences from The Ramones, Buzzcocks, B-52's and so on! If you are looking for some great buzzsaw rock n' roll, this is it! This band is so unique because they rotate around three singers, awesome! If you don't have this CD yet, you should get it! Great album and great band!
