This comp really does live up to it's name. It's a fairly average CD since theres many different styles on it. Some of the better bands on here are NoFX, Against Me!, Lawrence Arms, Bad Astronaut, Kevin Seconds, Glenn`s Army and Grabass Charlestons. The alright bands are Fitfh Hour Hero, The Arrivals, Gunmoll and Hex County. The rest of the songs either suck, or arn`t that good of quality. The Ann Beretta cover of Joe Strummer is well done though. 2.5 stars

This is an average compilation. Then again how many comp's are truly that great? There are the song or three you bought the comp for & hopefully a few hidden gems you weren't expecting. But generally plenty of filler. I bought this for the unreleased Lawrence Arms song and honeslty I could take it or leave it. Maybe if it was a fully realized song done by the whole band and recorded by Matt "how was I supposed to know she was a dude?" Allison, then this would be a cool track. Instead it's just Bren & an acoustic guitar. & it sounds like it was recorded with a ten year old 4-track in a park bathroom.

And that is pretty much how the whole comp goes. The one track that I felt was actually good was the NOFX song. It's catchy and of course, funny.

This cd actually turned out to be a lot better than i expected. I mostly bought it for the Lawrence Arms and Against Me! songs. But it ended up being really good. Uh, if you like real punk bands doing acoustic stuff then check it out

Hi there. Im hoping the Steve guy at 1-2-3-4-Go records one day feels horribly insecure and decides to read this review, because he should know how cool he is for trying this. Like all compilations, you're not going to love every song but with this one you do adore damn near most of them. This is at its heart a gateway CD, I was introduced to a ton of new bands, sparking love affairs with this bike is a pipe bomb and gunmoll. Their were a few tracks like the house on fire or the arrivals ones that were really cool because i really liked the band acoustic even though i dont like em normally. This is also a great taste of pre fat wreck Against me, back in the good ol days (I've benn listening to them since 6th grade in the days of the crime Ep, poseurs). Its worth it in a manner most definently. Just remeber it will take a while to get used to, and also remember a pair of fresh underwear. This is at its heart a 4, but the 5 is because it introduced me to countless bands (if you cant count higher than 5) and because this is so freaking ambitious. Its like an insurrection against warped tour crap. So buy it.

this is a pretty good comp. your parents would get a kick out of this. almost all acoustic stuff. i got this for the Bad Astronaut and Lawrence Arms songs. for me, "single" is the best song on the album. the lawrence arms song, "traditional" kinda sucked, the recording was pretty bad. you ought to check this out. nofx also surprised me with a really good acoustic one. screw good charlotte, simple plan, ataris, and all that crap! get this!

THIS CD WAS OK, liked the nofx, justin perkings and against me tracks alot but could care less about pipsqueak or house of fire and a few others. I thought that the bands would sound great with a acoustic songs but I have found that most sound better when they are amplified. Buy it only if you are a die hard fan of the bands otherwise pass.
