Beloved (US) were great at what they did. now what is it exactly that they did do? beautifully juxtaposed the emotion of alternative radio rock with the raw/heaviness of modern hardcore. don't let the assumption that since this band is Christian, they can't dish out, 'cause you couldn't be more wrong. not only is this album catchy and equally heavy but it is really well-written.

| This cd fires me up! I tell ya wat, these chaps no how to inspire! The soft, melodic, angelic vocals are so fucking good, then BANG, straight into break down city with the most rip-roaringest death screams ever! Beloved are super dooper! At first listen i wasnt impressed, i thought it was too unstructured, and too i donno, broken up!
But then slowly but surely i realised wat they were doin is BRILLIANT! Its a sound that is perfectly well rounded and keeps you enthralled from start to end! I couldnt pick a bad song on here! Not realy screamo, not realy hardcore either! Somewhere in between!
For fans of From Autumn to Ashes and Haste the Day!!!!

This is one of those "must-have" cds. The one that never leaves the cd player. The one that sticks songs in your head for days... or even months. The cd that goes in the front sleeve of your cd case. This cd rocks from start to finish. Its a rollercoaster swinging from hardcore to metal to rock to screamo. This cd never gets boring. It's a must no matter what kind of music you're into. This is quality music.

you know that c.d. that you buy and everytime you listen to it, it keeps getting better and better? This is that c.d.,Oh wait......Yeah, it just got better. But just multiply it's brilliance by mach 45. This c.d. is awesome. The groups lyrics are inspirational and acutally have a meaning to them. Unlike most groups who just write to be poetic, and don't know what it's supposed to mean. These guys are my favorite of the solid state tribe, and anybody who says this is just your generic screamo band....is basically a fag stain. The singer has a tremendous talent, and the breakdowns are brutal enough to snap your back and melt your face off. And boy, does it make a lovely combination. So buy this c.d. and stuff, and also check out norma jean, underoath (older stuff) and zao. These guys are all fantastic

well what can i say i've recent only now discovered the wonders of solid state records and man almost all of the bands on this label are really really good and they are christian but not only that there christian/hardcore thats the best from both worlds. with Beloved(us) on the label this band kicks solid sate up a notch wit there melodic soft side to there harcore edge and breakdowns they are what you would categorize as emo/post hardcore but i wouldnt want to categorize them like that because althought they are melodic they still bring in that hard element into it. so pick up the album and also the e.p. is great too so pick that up and continue to support solid state records look out for underoath, normajean, death campaign/officer negative and other on solid state. GOD BLESS!!!

This cd is fucking awesome. A lot different from the ep stuff. But still really really fucking good. All the songs are good. If your more into hardcore and don't really like singing then you might not like this one. Its more melo. There is still that mixture of hardcore needed. Buy it.

Hopesfall meet the Story So Far. It's pretty good mainstream screamo, but nothing spectacular. Death to Traitors is by far the best song. This is good, but doesn't make me get really excited. Try: In Reverent Fear instead. They're much better.

very good cd. the singing is just amazing, the screams a little underpar, but thats expected since he has to play drums at the same time (live any way). but overall a good cd. Failure on and our faces we hide? are the best songs
