Another cd that got lost in the mix that i figured i should pick up again. In my opinion this is really the last good Alkaline Trio cd. Crimson was decent, and everything that followed has been shit. While this has some fantastic songs it definitely hints at the decline of Alkaline Trio to come. They did gain their massive popularity after this release however. So good for them. There isn't much to say about it that hasn't already been said other than their Asian Man days have their best material. Still a must for any Alk3 fan though.

After looking at the other reviews, it looks like I bought the wrong album. I'm not a stranger to Ax3, but this was the first album of theirs I bought. I think it rocks. The songs are sing-along catchy with dark, witty lyrics. So what if they polished the album a little? Fickle "fans", what can you do...

Amazing. This is by far there best CD out, but Remains comes quite close to. The dark lyrics are a pain, but i guess i can take that for how catchy their music is. Buy it. Now....NOW

Awsome cd. Probally the best. Not as fast as "From here to Infirmiry", but still just as awsome. Matt Skiba lays down the sweetest lyrics.

This is alright. In the beging your pumped because it sounds good but half way through the sound stays the same and even starts to sound more poppy. but its still not a bad cd.

This is a decent CD. They basically play pop punk with Morrisey styled vocals and spooky lyrics which are all the rage these days. Personally I don't think they live up to the hype. Their whole schtick is very dated and will probably blow over in a year or two.

I didn't decide to get an Alkaline Trio album until I heard "Warbrain" on the Rock Against Bush comp. It seemed sort of gimmicky, this whole goth punk thing, but they do it very well. Unlike A.F.I., this group lightens things up with tongue-in cheek songs like "Fatally Yours". Plus they've got Dan Adriano doing vocals. I actually didn't know they had two vocalists until I got this album; they balance each other out nicely. Sometimes, Matt can sound disturbingly like Max Collins (of Eve 6 notoriety), but Good Mourning still has some of the best songwriting you'll ever find.

this is your typical alkaline trio cd...i have goddammit and from here to infirmary, and i like those better than this, but if you like alkaline trio you would like this cd...i give it a 85% or 90%....overall good songs...guitar riffs make it a little duller than their other stuff though...good stuff..buy it

Great album. If you are into Alkaline Trio already, then you need to pick this album up. My favorite tracks are Continental and All on Black. All of the songs flow pretty well into each other. If I had to give this album one fault, it would be thaqt it is a little polished for my taste. If you are just getting into Alkaline Trio, may I suggest From Here to Infirmary rather than Good Mourning. Bottom line, this album continues Alkaline Trio's favorite theme of the darer side of life, love, and punk music. The album as a whole is catchy, but it will get old, whereas From Here to Infirmary will last forever.
