| Honestly, I don't understand why this band gets talked about so much. It's just an opposite coast Econochrist. Personally, I see Born Against as a stepping stone from Sam and Neil's childhood to the much better Men's Recovery Project. Despite this, this is a pretty rad record. Like most late 80's/early '90's hardcore, it's best when it's fast, and it sucks when it's slow. Oh yeah, if you like Refused, you'll find out where they got the idea for "Refused is Fucking Dead". They just changed one word. If you read Buddyhead, you'll see where they got their famous "backwards gun" logo from. Buy this if you want, but don't expect anything groundbreaking or original. |
