French Toast

Bug Man

(Members From Make Up, Cupid Car Club, Nation of Ulysses, All Scars, Fugazi, Fidelity Jones)

Arrest 1

Released on January 21, 2003

Formed by James Canty (Make Up, Cupid Car Club, Nation of Ulysses) and Jerry Busher (All Scars, Fugazi, Fidelity Jones) in 2001, relies on two humans to mix the sounds of guitars, keyboards, drum kit, various percussion, samplers and sequencers with personal and haunting lyrics. With comparisons to Mission of Burma, Savage Republic, Captain Beefheart, the Wipers and Wire, French Toast refuses to be bound by convention or held back by the rules of Generation zzzzzzzzz. Their recordings are done at Busher's Bugman Studios, and this debut is on Arrest Records, a label Canty established with friend Ben Adams.

I got this without ever hearing anything from it which is rare for me but I heard that it has someone from fugazi in it so I gave it a try. Well its a little difficult to get into and its short. There is one song thats just random nonsense..which I see as a little pointless. But the real songs are good. They are coming here in a month it should be a good show.

If New Found Glory and Bigwig make up your entire record collection, you won't like this. If you are looking for new and interesting music, then you might. I love this E.P.
