| Municipal Waste - Waste Em All |
It's already been declared by anyone who will listen that the four fuck-ups in MUNICIPAL WASTE have taken hardcore from the dour, rule-setting fools and have given it back to the partying thrashers!! After their much acclaimed 7" was followed up by their split LP with CRUCIAL UNIT on Six Weeks, they re-entered the studio for more mayhem. These 15 new blazing tracks have the hallmark crossover fury of old bands like D.R.I, HIRAX, and NUCLEAR ASSAULT with machine gun vocals and ripping speed metal riffs. Mix it up with totally hilarious lyrics and parodies on their influences and the scene in general and these guys are the definition of fun.

| Municipal Waste plays beer-soaked, guitar solo-ridden, psychotically-mutated boogie board mosh punk. Yes, that genre is ridiculously overspecified.
This band is incredible. Their lyrics are hilarious and their music is played fast, loud (their amps go to eleven, I suspect) and very, very tight. The guitarist, bassist and drummer exude talent from every pore, as evidenced by such songs as "Mutants of War," "Drunk As Shit," "Substitute Creature," "Waste 'Em All" and "Thrash?! Don't Mind if I Do." The singer's frantic scream accents the thrashing beats.
I highly recommend this album, and also suggest that you see this band live. You need to see the boogie board mosh to believe it. |
