On their latest offering "The Forbidden" Limnus have broadened the scope of their eclectic cohesion of dark, gothic laden hardcore punk to capture the soft ambiance of piano driven interludes, the pounding throb of industrial beats, stark soundscapes and somber melodies. At the heart of this East Bay deathrock entity lies frontman Jay Blanch whose persona and voice strikes somewhere between Rozz Williams and Davey Havok and Jared Warren who has lent his musicianship to such notable bands as Red Handed (Rivalry Records) and Psyclon Nine (Metropolis Records). Together with producer Scott Llamas, who has shaped the sound of such bands as Tsunami Bomb, Love Equals Death, and Nothington, Limnus have crafted a masterpiece of aphotic rock for the black hearts of a dead world.
