Not only does this album offer rock and roll renditions of great holiday classics, but The Cute Lepers and The Vacancies also contribute original songs that will have you believe they are holiday classics in their own right. With Girl in a Coma taking on ‘Blue Christmas’ and The Dollyrots with ‘Santa Baby’, the entire album features covers of holiday favorites that showcase the Blackheart sound and also pay homage to their classic holiday counterparts. Included in this compilation is the original recording of ‘Little Drummer Boy’ by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. This version was only included on the original pressings of the album ‘I Love Rock N’ Roll’ in 1981.
