Montreal gruff punks and hockey enthusiasts The Sainte Catherines are back with their new record entitled "Fire Works". 13 catchy sincere punk rock tunes. Joey Cape (Lagwagon) lends vocals on this ditty as well! This is the band's first full length since 2006's "Dancing for Decadence" released on Fat Wreck Chords. After 9 years as a band, 700+ shows, and a countless number of beers consumed; “Fire Works" is The Sainte Catherines finest work to date and the best thing to come out of Montreal since Guy Lafleur! For fans of: The Lawrence Arms, Jawbreaker, The Gaslight Anthem, and Leatherface.

Definitely slowed down since "Dancing For Decadance".

A bit more Lawrence Arms vibe, with a bit of a country-rock feel as well.

Some of their best songs they've written, mixed with a bit of their most boring.

Fortunately, the good outweigh the bad.

Pick this up.

Wow wow wow! This is an amazing release. I do enjoy these guys other band (Yesterday's Ring), but I was starting to worry that they would not put out another Sainte Catherines album again. Boy... I am glad I was wrong... this is awesome! Check out jams like "We Use to be in Love" (lead off track and "So Long & Thanks For Nothing" (maybe a clever jab at NOFX & Fat?) Beautiful cover photo/art concept, love it. The Sainte Catherines are back! So if you love their past albums or Yesterday's Ring, get this right away!
