Forgetters is a three-piece Brooklyn band that formed in
the summer of 2009. The members, Blake Schwarzenbach
(Jawbreaker, Jets to Brazil), Caroline Paquita (Bitchin’),
and Kevin Mahon (Against Me!), are not novices but still
believe in the possibility of new music and new forms. In
this spirit they have come together to explore the parameters
of the power trio as a vehicle to convey sonic and
verbal ideas. Expect comedy, tragedy, tea and sympathy.

| Sooooo relieved Blake is doing another band. After the THORNS IN LIFE kind of fizzled...I was scared we would not get another release from Blake; however, here you have a super double 7" from his new band THE FORGETTERS (member of Bitchin' and Against Me's orginal drummer). The first two songs "Vampire Lessons" & "Too Small to Fail" remind me of Jawbreaker "Dear Your" era stuff and the last two songs remind me more of Jets to Brazil output. But don't get me wrong, this band deserves not to be compared with the past. Hopefully they will release a full length soon. |

| Whoa this was a pleasant surprise. People wondering what to expect, a Blake-Light Jets to Brazil esque EP or a Jawbreaker sounding punk rock EP.
This is rockin' so if you like Jawbreaker, this is essential. It sounds raw and this band sounds like where Jawbreaker left off. This is EP of the year. |
