Discharge
Hear Nothing, See Nothing, Say Nothing (Reissue)
Castle 2310723192
Released on June 3, 2003
|
A re-issue of the skull-splitting debut full length from Britain's hardcore legends. Originally released in 1982, the album is a hurricane of wall-of-sound brutality, delivered with DIY ethics and an apocalyptic and anti-establishment bravado. In addition to the fourteen album tracks you also get several bonus tracks, analog mastered from the original master tapes.

| Discharge is the most terrifying and brutal band I have ever listened to in my life. They always talk about the end of the world, burning flesh, monsterous nuclear stockpiles and nuclear wars and stuff. They also have the most brutal bassist, drummer, guitarist and singer combonation I have ever heard. This makes for some great tunes. Think G.B.H and the Exploited, only more discusting and depressing. The funny thing is, they only have like, 2 sentances in each verse! That is kinda funny, because it seems like the singer forgot what he wanted to say.
This record is no doubt classic U.K hardcore. Repetitive, yes, but classic. Each song is heavier than the next, and the bonus tracks are great too(especially "Never Again"). The album opener, "Hear Nothing, See Nothing, Say Nothing" is my favorite song on the whole Cd. "Protest and Survive", "Free Speach For the Dumb" and "The Possibility Of Lifes Destruction" really stand out too. "Cries of Help" is the single scariest thing that has ever been put on Cd. Holy shit, if that seriously happened...Oh man
Depressing songs, alot of distortion, screaming vocals, galloping drums and spikey hair. What could go wrong?

| Ah, Discharge. They're probably the loudest street-punk band, ever. They've got the angry lyrics riding on top of a wall of sound that is reminiscent of The Ramones and Motorhead. Very awesome, indeed. The record, however, can seem monotonous at times, but it's still worth buying. With a sound like this, it's no surprise that Discharge has their own sub-genre. |

| Great CD. I'm not a big fan of British punk, but this one is definately a classic. Like so many classics, its spawned a million shitty imitators, but you can't hold that against them. Anthrax covered one of these songs and so did Metallica, so you know its good. No, seriously, its good. |

| discharge is old-school hardcore punk that sounds more like the old oi/u.k. punk (im not sure if theyre from the u.k. or not). dont try to confuse this with old-school HC in the vein of negative approach or circle jerks. discharge is more medium paced HC with metallic guitars. when i first heard them on this cd, state of fear came to mind. pretty good stuff if your into classic 80's punk. |

| Absolutely incredible. Just insanely fast and hard, the best way to describe them is just brutal hardcore punk. Absolute legends, and they totally deserve to be called that. The bonus tracks are great because you get a little more added diversity, plus you get Never Again, which is such a great song. But don’t get me wrong, even without the extras, this album is packed with great music. There is no possible way for you to go wrong with buying this cd. |

| This CD was really cool. Plus, it has a lot of songs, so you get a lot of songs for your money. There was not one song I didn't like from this cd. It's proabably one of the bestest cd's out there. So support Discharge and buy this album or any other cd's from them. |

| holy shit , this might be one of the best and most influential punk rock records ever. On this record discharge takes punk strips it down to it rawest and most primal state. The music is perfect fast ,angry, yet just a hint of melody. This great music is complemented by genius lyrics, political lyrics that say more in two stanzas than anti-flag does in one 6 stanza's. This albums influence is undeniable every political band and or crust band owe their succes to this record for it paved the way for both genres/concepts. This is without a doubt a punk classic. In my opinion no punk rock collection no matter how large or how small no matter if its mainly hardcore or pop-punk no collection is complete without this record. So in other words BUY THIS RECORD NOW. |
