A lot has changed since Social Distortion unleashed 1983's punk rock classic "Mommy's Little Monster", both inside the band and out. Their external influence pioneered the tattooed, hot-rod loving, anti-hero subculture which has become more and more prevalent daily. Like a veteran prizefighter rife with swagger, Ness proves with "Sex, Love and Rock 'n' Roll" he's still the one to beat. Pound for pound, the album embraces its heart and while baring its soul.

| Pretty standard Social Distortion stuff, which is good if you like Social Distortion. Only about three or four really punk-rock songs, the rest are good old Social Distortion rebel-rock and a couple of slower rock songs. Overall, probably not their best, but the good stuff (Reach for the Sky, Don't Take Me for Granted) is really good. A little less punk overall than White Light... and Social Distortion (the other two albums I have) |

| Well it is Social D... how can you give it a bad reveiw? I think I am more partial to the Mike Ness solo stuff... but this is a good album with a few stand out tracks. If you are just getting into Social D get "live at the Roxy" it is a little of everything... except this album of course. |

| Fucking fantastic. I'm still getting into Social D so I'm not a pro on their history, but it seems that their music is just as good if not getting better than much of the older Social D. This album and "White Light, White Heat, White Trash" are my two favorites. Mike Ness has an amazing voice and his lyrics are still honest and emotional as ever. Great album. Five fat yellow stars, bro noni! |

| I love Social D. They're an awesome band. I bought this album because I heard reach for the sky and i loved their other albums. We all know that they're awesome, and this album was nothing short of spectacular. all of the songs are way above mediocre and most of them are pretty awesome. I was worried about the album only having 10 songs, but they're all worth every penny. |

| first off, this doesnt really sound like the old social distortion punk rock sound, its pure rock n roll. it is a pretty good album, though there are only about 3 or 4 standout amazing songs on it, and every song is verse-chorus-verse-chorus-solo-chorus, but its cool, there is variety in the songs. best songs are reach for the sky and angel's wings. |

| Social D at its best. Pure punk poetry which will invade your skull and have you humming along - all day long. Don't waste your money on anything else right now...this is a must have. Buy....Buy....Buy! You will not regret it. |

| I really couldn't get into the old Social Distortion stuff, but this one totally blew me away. It's nothing but genius from start to finish. Quite possibly the best rock 'n' roll album I've ever heard...maybe the best punk record, too, if you wanna call it that. To me it doesn't sound like "punk rock", but that's okay, because these guys pioneered the So Cal sound and manage to mix in rockabilly elements too. "Faithless" is probably the most underrated song on this one: even if it isn't the best, the album would be incomplete without it. Mike Ness has that magic power to sing about love and marriage without sounding sappy. Seriously recommend it. |

| This is a damn good CD. It's obvious I bought it because I am a huge SD fan since their first era and I had great expectations about this album, but not as much... I mean, we all know that the most part of the greatest bands from yesterday (like 10 or 20 years ago) that are still playing today became less punk, less good, more poppi, more whining, more commercial and all that stuff. That's a fact please don't lie to each other. I'm talking about bands that used to be cool some time ago but now in order to keep popularity or to keep playing they had to change their music in some ways, or at least they had to change their images. I talk about bands like Bad Religion, or The Get Up Kids, or Offspring (of courrrrse) and all those... Well, I kinda felt before buying SD's last album that this psicosis of change would affect SD in some way. And in some way it did. The sound and the music style of the record is totally Social Distortion, nothing more, nothing less. Mike Ness sings as tough as always, that's the best thig of the record. But somethings has definetely changed. The songs are a bit slower and with less energy and certainly more whining. Not in an emo or pop way, hell no; but belive me they're whining. The lyrics are ok, a bit different from the classical SD lyric of bad luck, but ok. Definetely woth buying if you are and old SD fan. |

| Social Distortion just can't produce a bad record. Just great old fashion rock and roll with amazing lyrics. A terrific investment. |
