Punks have been a group that have been driven by social change. Unfortunately, the fires that burn within have been dampened by our political and social climate. Gone are the days of The Clash, New York Dolls, The Misfits... bands that not only had something to say but said it in a way that sparked the fire until it was fucking out of control. Everybody Out is the arson that will bring that blaze back.
LP version comes with 4 bonus tracks!

its really not that great. sweeney's vocals are good as always but the songs just dont stick out. ghettoblaster and 'jack the lad' are instant classics. 'avenue' is pretty good too. the rest is pretty lame

10/5/2008 by Matthew from Toronto, ON Canada Rating:
amazing album! if you love gruff vocals, a wide variety of instruments, and a kickass great time, pick up Everybody Out!, as well as anything by the Dead Pets.

6/24/2008 by Spencer from Euless, TX Rating:
FUCK YEAH!! Rick Barton is the man! I like the e.p. better for the sole purpose of the songs boy and home. But, this is still an excellent album. The first time I played this I was cruising down the highway and once the first song crescendo's and gets into the fast drumwork I lost it and punched my rear view mirror off the car. Nice. And no I wasn't drunk (at the time). So be warned, the first time you put it on, there is a good chance you will break the shit out of something. Happy moshing!

Good stuff here. I think bands like Everybody Out!, Shock Nagasaki and Sex Machines (ex Vanilla Muffins) are bands that are all making the old street punk/oi music fresh again. So here you have the songwritting combo of Sweeney (Dead Pets) and of course Mr. Rick Barton (Ex-Dropkick Murphys). This CD is very diverse at times with even some ska thrown in once and awhile (just a little = whewww!). This made my drive home from work...actually exciting!

5/14/2008 by Chad from Oswego, IL Rating:
I had rather high expectations for this CD, I saw them open for for DKM and loved them. But I was surprised when I first listened to this CD, It totally blew away my expectations, this CD absolutely ROCKS! I recommend it to anyone that likes The Briggs, Street Dogs, DKM or even Rancid.

5/11/2008 by Ryan from Honolulu, HI Rating:
I listen to a lot of punk rock. New, old, I can always at least find a song I like. It's not often though, that I get a newly released album and fall in love with it. When I listen to this band, I hear the old and the new. I wouldn't say Everybody Out sounds exactly like any of the following, but when I listen to this record, I hear a little bit of: The Adicts, The Bouncing Souls, Cock Sparrer, The Bosstones, The Pogues, The Buzzcocks, maybe even a little Far From Finished and of course, DKM (but not as much as you'd think) all mixed together and never all at once. Right away you pick up on their signature sound, yet they still manage to switch up the style and surprise you track after track. Great record, really exciting band. I'd kill to see a live show, too bad I live in Hawaii and they'll never come here. Anyway, 5 stars.

4/14/2008 by Hayden from Fpo Ae, AE Rating:
Excellent would have given it 5 stars but I like Rick's singing on the Shadowblasters CD a little more than Sweeney on this. If you dont have Rick Barton & the Shadowblater's An American Rock Song buy it now you are missing out on the best roots rock album since the Rainmakers and the Clarks. also both of EBO's eps have great songs not included here

4/10/2008 by M from Melrose, MA Rating:
If i had to describe this album in a sentence I would say it is " A flawless product of the attitude and energy of Boston and UK modern punk rock." As soon as I pushed play in my car I was taken back by the continuous punk rock energy that is held throughout the album. EBO! rips through 12 tracks in a little over 30 minutes but, trust me, its a half hour well spent. Although I am slightly biased being a huge fan of the band, this CD seems near perfect to me. It was great to hear all of those familiar songs I had been hearing when I saw them live all those times and to finally know the titles and lyrics was really exciting for me! Some favorites of mine on the album are Ghetto Blaster, All I Got, Transistor Jim, and Wide Awake. I was also pleasantly suprised with the semi-acoustic tune Billy Cole which I enjoy more and more everyday. The occasional integration of horns and keyboard really creates such a unique sound for the band as well. Lastly, I thought it was really interesting that Sweeney finally wrote a song about the actual character Sweeney Todd in Evil Place/ Revenge of Sweeney Todd (atleast thats what I think it's about). Anyways sorry for the long review, I just can't say enough about these guys and the new album! As much as everyone wants the Dead Pets ( Sweeney's old band) to reunite one day, I am extremely content with Sweeney,Rick, and Billy's current project and hope for many more shows and albums! Long live EBO!
