Their third release is a pop masterpiece; a smart, catchy album filled with infectious songs from start to finish. It recalls the clever pop of such iconic records as Weezer's "Blue Album", combined with a sophistication and haunting honesty that puts them in league with indie auteurs like Death Cab For Cutie. For fans of Weezer, All American Rejects, Fall Out Boy, and Green Day. Produced by Fountain Of Wayne's Adam Schlesinger and former Cars frontman Ric Ocasek.

I love this band. I can't say enough about them. They're one of the few bands that I like every song they put out. This new release only builds on that, amazing album.

this cd is really good. AP gave it a 3 but i disagree...motion city is really inovative and musically defined

After their brilliant release two years ago I had really high expectations for this album. Popped this album into my stereo and right away I was impressed with the first couple of songs, extremely catchy, pretty much picking right up where they left off with their last album. The middle section of this album didn't really impress me that much. They could have done without songs like "The Conversation" and especially "Hello Helicopter." I guess those songs are supposed to be more about the lyrics than the melody but I don't even hear the lyrics if the song doesn't have a good melody.....but that's just me. So after about the first ten songs of this album I was ready to give it like a 6/10, not too thrilled. BUT THE LAST THREE SONGS REALLY PICKED IT UP! "Point of Extinction" is a classic MCS ultra catchy pop tune. "Antonia" is a great song. But they saved the best for last...."Even if it Kills Me" is probably the best song MCS has ever written. It has a great symphonic build up to an extremely catchy chorus. I've had that song stuck in my head all month!

This is a great album. And they did something you rarely see although I've been advocating it forever. They put the two best songs first and last! To me it just makes sense to start the album off with a bang and end it with an even bigger bang but most bands tend to put the best songs in the middle for some reason.
