Throughout the last decade GOOD RIDDANCE have established themselves as an elemental part of the international punk/hardcore landscape. The release of My Republic, their seventh full length on FAT, proves that their stronghold at the for efront of the genre is well deserved. The fourteen tracks on My Republic find GOOD RIDDANCE further developing their signature blend of punk and hardcore, while giving a nod to their influences from the early 80’s So-Cal scene (Adolescents, Bl’ast, D.I. and Agent Orange). Lyrically there’s plenty of food for thought, ranging from politically charged revolutionary anthems to introspective songs of exclusion and lost love. In an effort to further enlighten their fans, the CD is enhanced with a PETA video. The enhancement doesn’t stop there, we’ve included three live videos from a recent Santa Cruz show.

This is the last studio album GR released before calling it quits in 2007. As fans should expect, they go out with a bang! To me, My Republic sounds stylistically similar to 2001's "Symptoms of a Leveling Spirit", and I consider that a good thing. Very catchy and melodic, with a sharp, hardcore edge. This ranks up their with their first two albums (For God and Country and Comprehensive Guide) as the best work of the bands great career.

9/12/2009 by Jonny from New Britain, CT Rating:
Another great record by another great (and underrated) band.14 tracks of classic GR tunes, a couple slow ones and a few ripping ones, great punk / melodic hardcore. Is it their best record? No. Is it a record for them to go out on? Yes.

8/22/2006 by Kyle from Desert Hot Springs, CA Rating:
I thought this cd had a lot of great songs but I think the order kinda kills the energy, because it starts out great with out of mind, but then texas is kinda slow and boring, but still some good melodic hardcore punk rock good riddance style

7/30/2006 by Hugh from Athlone, Ireland Rating:
This is good good riddance album. no joke intended. It's a very tight album, my favourite song is UP TO YOU. It's the type of punk that has died as of late. Fast, energitic and with lyrics that actually might get the old brain motivated again.

7/8/2006 by Vinny from Orange Park, FL Rating:
This is only my second Good Riddance CD but I do like it a lot. All the songs have a good deal of energy and it's got a great punk-feel to the whole sound of it. No song really blows me away though, and all the songs are kinda short so it only gets a 4, but 4 is still a really good score so buy it!
