| Silverstein - 18 Candles: The Early Years |
SILVERSTEIN’s 18 Candles: The Early Years tells the story of a band formed in Burlington, Ontario, on the outskirts of Toronto in 2000. Emerging from the thriving underground scene in their hometown, SILVERSTEIN began honing their sound, growing a legion of grassroots fans and recording whenever possible. Six years later, SILVERSTEIN have sold over 350,000 albums, headlined sold out tours worldwide, been nominated for industry awards, topped the Billboard charts, and have cultivated a rabid fan base who even get tattoos inspired by the music. SILVERSTEIN have given a generation of fans music to believe in with their Victory Records releases When Broken Is Easily Fixed and 2005’s Discovering The Waterfront. Now, SILVERSTEIN is ready to give their fans a rare glimpse of where the entire saga began. With 18 Candles: The Early Years, SILVERSTEIN present their rare first two EP recordings, Summer’s Stellar Gaze and When The Shadows Beam in their entirety. 18 Candles also offers rare acoustic versions of the fan favorites “Call It Karma” and “My Heroine” from Discovering The Waterfront, along with exclusive live tracks and a cover song. 18 Candles: The Early Years offers SILVERSTEIN fans the chance to discover how SILVERSTEIN created their sound from the very beginning, before their world domination ensued.

| Silverstein is an amazing band to begin with. Also very nice guys, met them at Warped Tour 06. This CD deffiantly shows the progress they made through the years of touring, recording, and maturity. Check them out if you don't know who they are, and if you are a fan of Silverstein already, buy the album. |

| This CD is pretty cool, its a great way to see how the band evolved into what it is today. The first EP thats on here is okay but the 2nd one is better. I think its cool to hear how songs like "Bleeds No More" and "Red Light Pledge" started out. The live and acoustic songs are awesome and the "Smile In Your Sleep" remix is something to hear. |

| After listening to this cd, I'm confused why I bought it. Lead singer, Shane Told's vocals are nothing compared to the later recordings in 'When Broken Is Easily Fixed', and 'Discovering the Waterfront'. There is barely any screaming on this entire album. The only tracks with much of any screaming would be the old recording of Bleeds No More, and the live version of Bleeds No More. I'm glad that Silverstein isn't as bad as they were on their first two EP's. |

| The old songs are pretty good.
The acoustic ones are amazing.
The remix sounds like R2D2 ate the DTW cd.
I realize they were trying to put out both of their 2 EPs on here but, I did feel it was very redundant. They couldve just made it a B-side album considering only 5 of the 12 EP tracks were still unreleased.
Anyways, this CD is a great addition to the Silverstein catalog and a must have for any fan. |

| I bought this for the acoustic and live tracks... and for those, it was worth it. I wish there were a few more of those tracks, but the CD is still good. It shows a progression of their sound from what it was to what it is. Pick up this as well as When Broken Is Easily Fixed and Discovering the Waterfront. |
