Angels & Airwaves are an amazing band, but don't expect another Blink 182 out of this. Tom really spills his emotions into his songs on this album. Don't get me wrong I love Blink 182 as well but this album explains a lot of Tom and gives you good sense of the world around you. Great album if you just want to sit and relax and listen to something.

this CD's a piece of crap, i can't believe I spent money on it. i don't care if Tom was in Blink-182, the pores of this CD will spew his narcissism in your ears and poison your sense of musical taste. i can't stop barfing. besides that's it's alright. you know...minus the barf breath.

Anyone looking for the teenage, fun loving, surface level lyrics of early Blink-182 should steer clear of this CD lest you face serious disappointment. However, if you're in the market for a truly grown up, insightfully deep album that is well mixed and sounds absolutely amazing, then this is right up your alley. Angels and Airwaves' debut sets the bar high for things to come, and you will find yourself rocking out and crying from one song to the next. Songs like "A Little Is Enough" and "Valkyrie Missle" hilight a nice group of songs that are too long for radio play. Go get this album....like, now.

A good first album from Tom delonge's new band. All tracks are good with tracks 2-6 really standing out for me. All songs follow abit of a similar style and sound with not alot of variation over the whole album. A worthwhile buy if you liked the adveture.

First off I recognize what Blink 182 has done for pop punk and I respect that. I wasn't a big fan but they were a good band and earned everything they got. Now, that being said, I thought I was really going to like this because it seemed like this band had a lot of potential. I bought into all the hype and when I finally got to listen to it it felt like a sucker punch. Where is the passion? Where is the originality? This is sound of a band with a lot of great ideas but without the ability to put them to music. It's dull and uninteresting. I still think the potential is there for a great album. This just isn't it.

A good album overall. It has some really good songs but it took me a while to like them as much as I do now. I was really hoping for some fast songs but most are long and slow. "The War" is one of the best and is probably the heaviest song on the album. I can't think of the worst song on the cd as most of the songs are very simliar. It sounds as if the same kind of 'theme' has been carried throughout all the ten songs. Tom says the cd is much more emotional than what Blink-182 offered, which it is, but it is not exactly going to change the world. (as Tom has implied) On the whole, Angels and Airwaves have produced a well made debut album with some lyrically/musically excellent songs, but is short of what members from such great bands could have brought out. (if that makes sense =D)

To me it sounds like Tom has lost his spark where he used to be fun. He said that this is mostly about the music but to me the CD sounds like one continuous song. Im not telling you not to buy it just that to me it was a huge disappointment. The CD about put me asleep in my car because i was waiting for something different, it didn't seem to come.
