Koffin Kats

Inhumane

Hairball 8 7

Released on June 7, 2005

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

Welcome back the full-length album folks. Detroit's Koffin Kats have succeeded in resurrecting the kind of music that can genuinely hold your attention for the entire span of 15 songs. Of course you may need to be able to appreciate the Koffin Kat's influences in order to appreciate the band themselves. If you find a hectic mix Elvis Presley, Misfits, Dick Dale and Nekromantix appealing, you'll love this sophomore effort from The Koffin Kats. What we have here is a professional album that encompasses strength and creativity. This record is a balls-out blast of raw power with flawless production and engineering. A phenomenal upright bass sound that showcases Vic Victor's capabilities when it comes to an upright's slap and bottom end. Guitar tones and riffs are freakin' amazing. The drums sound proud and full, pounding like a mallet. This could be the perfect psychobilly record for 2005.

This is an amazing cd! It's got some great catchy songs like Chainsaw Massacre, Darker Place, Vampire's Curse, Perfect Suicide and great fast-paced songs compared to other Psychobilly bands such as Hatred, Caught Up and Die Cat Die. Fucking Die Cat Die really got to me that I just wanted to go insane in a circle pit.

Fun Fact: They came down to my hometown once but I was really upset that the fucking bar didn't let anyone under 18 in when the flier said all ages.

It's a good album, it's not a great album, but it's definately worth getting. The vocalist kinda sounds like Dave Vanian of the Damned, and the guitar sounds great. Rue Morgue only gave it 2 1/2 skulls and bones, Obviously I gave it a little more.
