| Burning Season - Haze Of Infatuation |
“...I saw the title of the CD, and I was even more convinced that this album would be a stinker... But, I was proven wrong once I listened to the entire album. The band is really much more than some dime-a-dozen metalcore act.
They are metalcore -- don't get me wrong -- but, they seem to play a much more matured brand of metal/hardcore than most bands these days. The great thing about this album is that it blends fast guitars/bass/drumming of metal along with just enough hardcore and melody (there's actually quite a bit of melody on here). There's singing parts on here as well, so you won't get tired of constant screams. There's also a ton of really nice guitar work that's not all metal-esque, but more hardcore oriented, much like Thrice...” - laminated.org

| The names Rory to start off with. I took a chance when I bought this CD after only hearing about a minute of one of the songs. However when the CD arrived in the mail I wacked it on and i was immediately hooked. This is a very talented band and I recommend for all fans of hardcore / metal. These guys have awesome guitar work and also one of the best screaming voices, much like Atreyu and I Killed The Prom Queen. It does have small amounts of melodic singing from time to time which makes the album good for more variety of people. Pick this one up so you can say you had heard of them before they went huge. |

| Okay when i first heard these guys i was like "wow, they sound EXACTLEY like Atreyu"
i mean, they know what they're doing but the singer sounds like alex and the riffs are similar. (but atreyu's a billion times better)
i got this because it said on a poster "get this if you like atreyu" and since atreyu is like the best band EVER, i got it. I was very sad at first the first time i listened to it, but then now that i've listened to it a lot more, i'm finding how they and atreyu differ.
so i would say to get it if you've listened to your atreyu cd's so many times that you're sick of it and need sometimes to tide you over until they come out with their next cd. |
