I'm very torn about this review, as this band is good, but isn't that great. Sometimes I'm like - wow this is fucking sweet, and then 2 seconds later I feel this genre has been saturated and they are regurgitating the mediocrity of this genre. Shit I dunno. It's alright. Kinda like a screamo version of the almighty Buried Inside, but nowhere near as good. Hollatchya!

TECHNICAL TECHNICAL TECHNICAL FREAKIN GRIND! These guys are insane and the cover of the Knack sond My Sharona was pretty neat too. Yet not enough "UMPH" to keep it in my cd player full time.

Not as good as the full length Sad. Nuclear. Sad. But if you like the band you will know exactly what you are getting. Great technical guitar work. These guys are gods. The cover of My Sharona is good the first few spins but now i wonder why they ever did it. all in all a good EP.

Upon purchasing "An Inch Of Gold For An Inch Of Time" I thought, 'Maybe #12 is just trying to get me all excited about their new full length! and maybe they're thinking of my needs as a fan! maybe they made this to keep my ignorant mind at ease.' But I listened more and more, and thought, 'no, this is something i could consider an actual #12 release. not just something for me to listen to when I'm bored and waiting for new music from them.' I enjoyed this very much, but I do not think it is for just anyone. I think you could give it a try but, if you're not 100% into this band's style, then it won't be worth your buy. the vocals on this album are beautiful. never have I heard such a beautiful set of duel pipes in my life. and the guitars, need I even say? If you're one of them stupid close-minded fucks that think there is no talent in music these days, well listen to this. the guitarists are very creative. the drums are amazing fast, yet on time, and perfect. It's a perfect EP.

Where to start with this album?Well, it's a masterpiece. The guitar work is just beautiful.I love the vocals.Dual-vocals, one with ear piercing, high-pitched shrieks. The other with low, death metal growls. This is just a great aggressive album. It kinda reminds me of Between the Buried and Me.Great hardcore album. If you like hard, aggressive rock music, purchase this album. If you buy it and you don't just love it,you're gay.
P.S.I'm not Chelsea, I'm Patrick.

Only one month into 2005 and already one of the best discs has been unleashed on us. The Number Twelve Looks Like You play extremely spazzy technical screamo metal. sounds like a lot but it's all here. Now i must recommend you find some way to purchase their first release "Put On Your Rosy Red Glasses" before this to see how they've grown between releases. "POYRRG" is a close to flawless release and anyone who appreciates all the above mentioned genres will definitely enjoy this. This EP serves as maninly a teaser containing 2 reworked versions of old songs (Tracks 2 & 4), 2 new songs from their upcoming Eyeball Records full-length (Tracks 1 & 3), and a stunning rendition of The Knack's "My Sharona". Though they should have left the old versions the way they were, the reworking is in no way bad, they've just added more speed to them, which some may enjoy. Clarissa Explains Cuntainment shows how they've grown and sharpened their skill as technical metal monsters, while Like A Cat shows they can be melodic and pull it off just as well, with a result sounding like The Blood Brothers & Circle Take The Square-type screamo. So if you're into any of the above mentioned bands along with The Red Chord, The Locust, Pig Destroyer, daughters, and Ed Gein...then i highly suggest that you purchase this disc to tide you over until the full-length in May.

Holy crap this cd is awesome! I hadnt heard any of their music besides what was on purevolume, which I guess is from their past cd, but An Inch Of Gold.. is my favorite grind/noisecore album to date. Its very clean, and the music is extremely intense. Theres plenty of weird breakdowns, jazzy little sections, and a sick cover of an old Knack song. Definitely pick it up if your a fan of bands like dillinger, the great redneck hope.. or just like the whole grind genre.
