Mischief Brew/Joe Jack Talcum

Photographs From The Shoebox Split

Fistolo 25

Released on November 4, 2008

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

Two Philadelphia artists/bands team up: Mischief Brew delivers six songs, none of which sound anything alike! Meanwhile, Joe Jack Talcum (of The Dead Milkmen, The Low Budgets, more...) lays down seven... meanwhile, both artists do modern renditions of Dead Milkmen songs! This is a great Philadelphia split. Erik (from MB) grew up skateboarding to "Big Lizard in My Backyard," so it's fitting and a true honor to share vinyl with Joe.

Love the Mischief Brew songs on this CD. Some of my favorite Mischief Brew songs and are my favorite accoustic stuff. Similar sound to Against Me! I'm not a huge fan of Joe Jack Talcum. He's just okay so that's why I give it 4 stars instead of 5.

It's okay. Like Johnny Hobo, i bought this for only one of the bands on the split. Come to think of it, most splits i've ever bought has unfortunately one band i want to hear and one i very much don't.

It's a good cd, but i would like to be able to get more Mischief Brew on cd, there LP work is probably better than this cd, but it's okay.

This is the best album that came out in 08. Everything Joe touches rules! Mischief brew is like Against Me except good. I think their socialists.
