I bought this to help me get into NOFX, even though I rarely agree with "Best of" CDs, and I actually love this CD! I only mildly don't care for a few songs. But even they aren't really enough to make me push the skip button (Maybe I'm just too lazy?). Anywho, get This if you wanna get into them, along with Punk In Drublic, which I also got. Lots of good songs, if you like punk (I seriously doubt you don't like punk if you're on this site, but you never know.) This is the kind of music everybody should listen to, so get this and burn the teriible Justin Bieber and Nickleback CDs.

Obviously, if you are a NOFX fan, you need this. Even if you own most of their albums, I'd definently reccomend getting this album, it's pretty damn convenient to just pop in a CD and listen to some of their best songs.

nofx are good + the songs they choose for this "best of" are not that good + the unreleased track is the best song nofx wrote since the "punk in drublic" era + the booklet is sick= buy this cd.

A great CD if you're just getting into NOFX. There's a nice variety of songs, although a few good ones are notably missing. However, if you've been into NOFX for a while, it might not be worth the money just for one new song.

As far as Greatest blah blah blah CD's go, NOFX is pretty orthodox. They've taken 1-4 tracks from each of their major albums, mixed them up and stuck an unreleased song at the end of it all. To their credit, it's remarkable they've lasted this long and still manage to put out some solid records. "The Greatest Songs" has a lot of their (relatively) well known tracks, some truly killer blasts of California hardcore, and some not-so-killer songs. The late coming activism of "War on Errorism" gets its representation alongside earlier rants against leftists ("Shut Up Already!!"), displaying the tenacity of a group that adapted its message, if not necessarily its sound, to the changing times. It could be a great introduction to the group if it didn't come so late in their existence, so some may decide to get it instead of trying to choose among the individual records in the band's extensive catalog. It's good for that, too.
